I purchased this Seiko SKX779 watch just recently to use daily and offer my submariner some time off. I got it close by in San Francisco to get it sized and also the repairman said, let's see how watertight it is actually. It can be rated at 200-meters, fyi. He used a device (known as a WRT SM-2000) in which check ups it in some way and prints out the information. It maxed out at 300-meters! This watch is sick! Other than that suprise, It's good in the dark, this frame is good and also moves in only on direction for a diving watch should and to overcome all, it offers an in-house Seiko automated movements (never requires electric batteries). Shop for this timepiece...give it to your child later as it it's still doing work.
